Why Every Church Needs a Website
SIGN UP FOR OUR NEWSLETTER
70% of people research churches online before visiting.
If your church has no website, you are invisible to them.
The Great Commission Goes Digital
Go into all the world and preach the gospel - Matthew 28:19
Today, all the world is online. Your website is your digital front door - the first place people encounter your church.
No website = No visitors.
3 Reasons Churches Resist Websites (And Why They Are Wrong)
1. Our people already know where we are
But visitors do not. Families moving to your area. College students looking for a church home. People searching for hope on Sunday morning.
They will never find you.
2. We cannot afford it
Can you afford NOT to reach people? A basic church website costs less than one month of utilities. That is stewardship, not expense.
3. We are not tech-savvy
You do not have to be. Your members use Facebook. They can update a church website. Or hire someone who can.
What a Church Website MUST Have
Keep it simple. Every church website needs:
1. Service Times - When do you meet? Update this if it changes.
2. Clear Address with Map - Make it easy to find you. Google Maps embed works great.
3. What to Expect - First-timers are nervous. Tell them: casual dress? formal? kids programs? parking?
4. Pastor Welcome Video - 60 seconds. Hi, I am Pastor John. We would love to have you. See you Sunday.
5. Online Giving - Biblical stewardship made easy. People want to give. Make it simple.
Real Example
Church A: No website. Declining attendance. Visitors: 2-3 per month.
Church B: Simple 5-page website. Service times, map, welcome video. Visitors: 15-20 per month.
Same city. Same size. Different reach.
Your Website is Ministry
How will they hear without someone preaching to them? - Romans 10:14
Your website preaches 24/7. To people searching for hope. For community. For God.
Every day without a website, you miss opportunities to reach the lost.
