Biblical Stewardship in the Digital Age

Stewardship is not just about money.

It is about everything God entrusts to you. Including your website, social media, and online presence.

The Parable of the Talents... Online

To one he gave five talents, to another two, to another one - Matthew 25:14-30

God gave you a business. Tools. Skills. Customers. Digital platforms.

What are you doing with them?

The servant who buried his talent? That is the business owner with no website. The one who says: I am not tech-savvy. I do not do social media. I am old-school.

Translation: I am hiding what God gave me.

The servants who multiplied their talents? They used every tool available. They took risks. They stewarded what they were given.

Digital Stewardship Questions

Ask yourself:

Is my website serving people?

Or is it outdated, broken, ignored? A website that does not help people is a buried talent.

Is my social media building up or tearing down?

Are you encouraging? Complaining? Arguing? Promoting yourself? Or serving others?

Am I using technology to advance the Kingdom?

Or am I just using it to waste time? Digital tools are neutral. You make them holy or hollow.

The Lazy Steward's Excuses

I am not tech-savvy

Learn. YouTube exists. So do tutorials. So do people who will help you. Ignorance is not humility.

I do not have time

You have time for what you prioritize. If reaching people matters, make time.

It costs too much

A basic website costs $50/month. Google Business Profile is free. The real question: What is the cost of NOT doing it?

Faithful Digital Stewardship Looks Like

1. A Website That Helps People

Clear. Updated. Answers questions. Solves problems. Serves.

2. A Professional Online Presence

Google Business Profile set up. Social media (even if minimal). Consistent branding.

3. Using the Tools Available to You

Email. Text. Online scheduling. Whatever helps you serve customers better.

4. Reaching People Where They Are

People are online. All day. If your business is not, you are missing them.

The Master's Return

Well done, good and faithful servant. You have been faithful with a few things; I will put you in charge of many things - Matthew 25:21

One day, God will ask: What did you do with what I gave you?

Your answer better not be: I buried it because I was scared of technology.

Digital stewardship is not optional. It is faithfulness in the modern age.
